Communication help for people with hearing loss

A recent survey by the Hearing Loss Association of America found that 95% of respondents with hearing loss say masks and facial coverings have created communication barriers since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Dr. Brian Kaplan with the department of otolaryngology with GBMC shares some of the “masking” challenges faced by those who are hearing impaired along with tips and strategies that can ease interactions and help those who are hard of hearing feel more in control.
